Around 4:15 AM on Thursday, a collision between two trucks occurred on National Expressway 1 near Ahmedabad, approximately 10 kilometers from the city. A stationary truck was hit from behind by another truck, resulting in a fire that engulfed both vehicles. The fire caused severe disruption to vehicular movement on this major expressway connecting Ahmedabad and Vadodara.
Fire and rescue teams arrived promptly at the site and began firefighting operations to control and extinguish the flames. Station Fire Officer Mata Prasad Pandey said, “This morning at around 4:15 am, a truck was parked when another truck hit it from behind. Work is on to extinguish the fire. One truck driver is injured and is undergoing treatment.” The injured driver was taken to a nearby hospital for medical care.
